Exchange meetings for employees on maternity and childcare leave


Childcare exchange meeting

Since FY 2009, we have held exchange meetings for employees on maternity or childcare leave three times a year. The purpose of this program is to explain the company’s childcare support system in an easy-to-understand manner and to provide a place for employees on maternity or childcare leave to interact with each other, thereby easing their anxiety about returning to work.
Recently, we have invited instructors to promote interaction on a variety of topics, such as experiencing “baby rhythm” music as a family.

Return-to-Work seminars for married couples

Since FY 2013, we have been holding a Return-to-Work Seminar for couples to participate in. We believe that cooperation with partners is essential for balancing work and childcare, so we hold seminars for female employees and their spouses, as well as male employees and their spouses, to support their smooth return to work and to help them balance work and family life.

Support to balance work and caregiving

Caregiving support seminars

In FY 2018, we invited an external lecturer and held a seminar in September for managers in charge of general affairs on “understanding and supporting colleagues and subordinates who are caring for their family members while working” and how, as a superior in the workplace, to respond appropriately to subordinates.
We also provide all employees with information and preparation to balance work and caregiving. In addition, we have established a caregiving concierge desk, where employees can receive free caregiving consultations by phone or e-mail, as well as services such as applying for care insurance on their behalf. Individual consultation meetings are held twice a year, and various other support services are provided to enable employees to continue working while providing caregiving.
In FY 2019, we produced educational materials (videos) for employees and published them on the company intranet with the aim of “helping as many employees as possible understand that they can find a way to balance work and caregiving.”
In FY 2021, we held a seminar on balancing work and caregiving (held online due to the restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection).
