Tokyu Children’s Support Program

This program provides grants and other support to organizations working to solve social issues surrounding children in areas served by Tokyu’s railway lines. The program was launched in FY 2020 with the hope of promoting the happiness of children and the sustainable development of a safe, secure, and enriched community. Grantees will be selected through an annual call for applications. In FY 2020, a total of 10 million yen is provided to 12 organizations.

In the "Interviews with Leaders" section of the Tokyu Support Program for Children website, we interview the recipients and introduce their commitment to activities that support the "happiness" of each and every child. The activities of the 10 organizations funded in the program can be viewed in the "Completion Report" section.

Mido*Link Action

『みど*リンク』支援団体によるまちづくり、コミュニティーづくり Community development and community building
by organizations supported by Mido*Link

"The Mido*Link action is an activity to support community building through community development and greening by providing support to the best projects from among the community development and greening activities submitted by the public. This activity is an evolution of the Tokyu Greening Campaign, a seedling giveaway that ran from 1972 to 2011, and it was launched in 2012.
We will provide support in the form of goods equivalent to 100,000 yen to 1,000,000 yen for each group selected through a screening process, taking into consideration the scale of the project. Through these activities, we aim, together with local residents, to “link up” our efforts in urban and community development and greening to create an increasingly affluent and energetic city that looks toward the future."

Inside the Train

On the Toyoko, Den-en-toshi, Meguro, Tokyu Shin-Yokohama and Setagaya Lines, we are running the SDGs Train, a special train that conveys various messages about the achievement of the SDGs. This is a simultaneous east–west train service run in cooperation with the Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Group, the national government, local governments, corporations, and civic groups. The trains use the latest energy-saving cars, and all (virtually 100%) of the electricity used for running the trains is provided by renewable energy sources.
In March 2021, the SDGs Train won the Tokyo Governor’s Prize in the 4th category (Car Body Use Advertising Category) of the 12th Tokyo Outdoor Advertising Competition because of its excellent design, which harmonizes with buildings and landscapes as an outdoor advertisement that makes up the cityscape.
