This program provides grants to organizations working to solve social issues surrounding children along areas served by Tokyu’s railway lines. It was launched in FY2020 with the hope of promoting the sustainable development of communities where children can live happily, safely, securely, and spiritually fulfilling lives. Grant recipients are selected through a public call for applications each year. FY2022 a total of 10 million yen in grants will be awarded to 12 organizations.
The Tokyu Children's Support Program website features interviews with grant recipients in the "Leader Interviews" section, which introduces their passion for activities that support the "happiness" of each child. You can also view the activities of the 10 organizations that received funding in the first round in the "Completion Report."

"The Mido*Link action is an activity to support community building through community development and greening by providing support to the best projects from among the community development and greening activities submitted by the public. This activity is an evolution of the Tokyu Greening Campaign, a seedling giveaway that ran from 1972 to 2011, and it was launched in 2012.
We will provide support in the form of goods equivalent to 100,000 yen to 1,000,000 yen for each group selected through a screening process, taking into consideration the scale of the project. Through these activities, we aim, together with local residents, to “link up” our efforts in urban and community development and greening to create an increasingly affluent and energetic city that looks toward the future."
For nearly half a century, the Tokyu Group, which operates businesses throughout Japan and overseas, has been involved in the Tokyu Association, an organization of Group companies. Tokyu Associations in 23 districts in Japan and four districts overseas deepen communication with local residents through approximately 100 cleanup activities and cultural and sports events held each year.
This is an experiential event for elementary school children, where parents and children can try out work experiences, facility tours, crafts, etc. We have been holding this event every year since 2007, with the aim of giving children social experience through a variety of programs while also deepening their understanding of Tokyu Group which operates in a wide range of fields closely related to daily life.
As a regular New Year's Eve event, we are a special sponsor of a concert that counts down to the new year with classical music. The "Tokyu Silvester Concert" is held every year at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Shibuya, and the New Year is welcomed at the moment the countdown music finishes playing. (Broadcast live on TV Tokyo and BS Japan)
The Train and Bus Museum opened in 1982 under the elevated tracks of Takatsu Station Den-en-toshi Line as part of the 60th anniversary of the founding of Tokyu Railways. It moved to its current location near Miyazakidai Station in March 2003 and was renovated in February 2016.
This museum was opened with the aim of deepening public understanding of the transportation industry, and is also committed to contributing to Local Community by hosting events for schools and parents and children.
The museum displays materials related to the transportation business of Tokyu Corporation and Tokyu Group, such as old trains manufactured in the early Showa period, as well as introducing the history of the development of vehicles and efforts to ensure the safety of train operations. There are also simulators where you can experience operating trains, buses, and airplanes, as well as a panoramic model operation corner, allowing you to deepen your knowledge of the transportation business while having fun.
Tokyu Hospital opened in 1953 near Ookayama Station as an open corporate hospital to promote the health of Tokyu Group employees and their families, as well as residents living along the railway line. It was subsequently reopened above Ookayama Station in 2007, and has been contributing to the health of local residents and employees for over 60 years.
At Tokyu Hospital, we provide medical care with a medical team that has specialized knowledge and techniques, with safety and security as our top priority, based on the philosophy of "Aiming for comfort and trust." Furthermore, to provide uninterrupted medical care, we are strengthening cooperation with other medical institutions and nursing and welfare organizations.
We also have a "Health Checkup Plaza" on the premises, and are actively involved in preventive medicine such as health checkups and medical examinations.
"Bunkamura" is Japan's first large-scale cultural complex, which opened in Shibuya in 1989. Since its opening, the creative space, which includes a concert hall (music), theater (drama), art museum (art), movie theater (film), cafes and art-related shops, has been attracting attention as a base for disseminating new culture. Not only can it be experienced as a place to experience various cultures and arts, but it is also a popular spot in Shibuya where you can spend a relaxing time, attracting as many as 3 million visitors a year. Together with the musical theater "Tokyu Theatre Orb" and the "Cerulean Tower Noh Theater," it has built the foundation for the "Entertainment City SHIBUYA" that Tokyu Group aims to create.
* Bunkamura will be closed for an extended period from April 10, 2023, except for Orchard Hall. Activities at the facility will continue in Shibuya, surrounding facilities areas served by Tokyu’s railway lines, and other Tokyu Group facilities.
