Sustainability promotion activities at the Company and its consolidated subsidiaries

We and our consolidated subsidiaries have long been aware of the importance of our social responsibility as corporate citizens and have actively promoted sustainable management by addressing compliance issues and continuing to solve social issues and contribute to society through our businesses. Starting with the establishment of the “Tokyu Group Compliance Guidelines” in January 2002, we have promoted various sustainable activities. In this section, we emphasize the importance of internal control for consolidated subsidiaries to promote autonomous sustainable management and provide specific guidelines on what the management of each company should do. Through these initiatives, we are committed to fulfilling our social responsibilities in response to the expectations of society and striving for sustainable corporate growth.

Tokyu Corporation's Sustainability Promotion Activities

The ESG Promotion Group of the Corporate Planning Division plays a central role in promoting the three sustainability goals of sustainable management (sustainable urban development, sustainable corporate development, and sustainable HR development) in an integrated and effective manner and in cooperation with all internal business units and Group companies. Additionally, we are actively engaged in solving social issues and contributing to society through our business operations.

Sustainability Promotion Committee

To promote sustainable management more strongly, the Company has held the Sustainability Promotion Committee since the 2018 fiscal year (FY), which succeeded the CSR Management Promotion Committee chaired by the President held since FY 2010. In principle, this meeting is held biannually to share important information on sustainable management, including safety and compliance, and to give guidance on appropriate actions to be taken by the Company.

Tokyu Group Sustainability Promotion Committee

To strengthen the system for promoting sustainability at the Company, which is the Group’s core organization, and its consolidated subsidiaries, we established the Tokyu Group Sustainability Promotion Committee in FY 2018 with the participation of sustainability promotion managers of group companies. In principle, this meeting is held biannually to share information on the Company’s sustainable management policies and to promote a unified approach to sustainable management across the company and its consolidated subsidiaries.

Seminars for managers

Since FY 2008, we have held seminars on compliance and other topics for our full-time officers and the representative officers of our consolidated subsidiaries. We have invited leading experts in various fields, such as lawyers, to speak at these seminars and promote sustainable management practices across our company and consolidated subsidiaries.
